Good morning, Alameda!

Tracy gets to hitch a ride to school on top of a dumpster truck; I get to carpool with my favorite person. On the morning commute with the Woo's...

Mr. Woo: What? That person turned before me!
Mrs. Woo: It's 'cause you were weaving.
Mr. Woo: Hey, that's not very encouraging...
Mrs. Woo: It's okay! Next time, you'll cut that person off. :)
Mr. Woo: You're very OT.

[2 minutes later]

Mr. Woo: What do you think about "eye for an eye; tooth for tooth" in the OT, and Jesus saying "turn the other cheek" in the NT?

[5 minutes into the OT/NT conversation]

Mrs. Woo: Yeah, that's what I said!
Mr. Woo: Really? I totally didn't get that message.

It's fun being married to my friend. :)

Heavy-duty God

In the evening, after supper has been chosen, cooked, chomped, and cleaned, the Woo's were found reading in bed...

[Mrs. Woo reading Revelation]

Mrs. Woo: Hey, what do you think the seals look like?
Mr. Woo: Hmmm, I don't know.
Mrs. Woo: I think God would use padlocks.
Mr. Woo: hahaha Why?
Mrs. Woo: Because God's heavy-duty like that.
Mr. Woo: Yeah, I think God would use pad locks, too.

I'm so persuasive. :P

***Edit: Mr. Woo would like it known that his point was that God is a heavy-duty God.

***Edit Edit: Mr. Woo has corrected me (yes, again) in clarifying his point that God is a powerful God.

Re: What tastes like a name...

Today, I received an email from a sister. I quote:

so going along with your gchat themes of what to name your future offspring, I was thinking the other day....
please don't name them something that starts with "Z", because then if there name is listed last name first, then it will be

Woo, Z. (say it out loud if you don't get it)

also I found this for your enjoyment:

***Trivia Answer: NApoleon

What tastes like a name...

Mrs. Woo was leaving her apt with her husband, when he tells her, "We should name our son Curry. That's a cool name - Curry Woo. And we can name our daughter Bibim." (Note: I love the irony in the latter name. Additional note: bibim means mixed, as in bibimbap.)

For those who don't know, whenever we visit my parents, my mom cooks whatever Cy wants. At first it was her cuts-like-butter-tender, boneless, well-marinated kalbijjeem for a while. Then, he craved bibimbap (rice with lots of veggie side dishes mixed in) with an over-easy egg. I told her of his egg-fetish and she gave: 1 to my dad, 1 to me, and 4 to Cy. o_O He thinks hers are better than restaurants; she loves that he eats it so well. Everyone's happy except for the person who doesn't favor bibimbap too much - me.

Upon announcing these names to the world of gchat, the following comments came in:
Virginia: CURRY????!!! what DID you put in that curry....

Christine: but if he lags, ppl will tell him to 'hurry curry'...

Tad: you should call your kid "Soon Doo"or "Soon Doob"

Daniel: ehh curry and bibim? that'd be so weird
someone says to Curry, "Yo, Curry, I'm gonna eat you for lunch!"

Nathanael: kids might make fun of him

Sorry Tad, Cy's not a big fan of soondooboo.

***Na family trivia: What were Jane's parents thinking about naming her before settling on Jane Na?

Curry - Day 4

An eposide at the Woo's...

Mrs. Woo: Thanks for eating curry 3 nights in a row. :)
Mr. Woo: Thanks for making so much. :)
Mrs. Woo: I have the best husband in the whole world! :D<3

And THEN, he took leftovers to school for lunch. That makes it Day 4 (in a row) of curry. It's definitely his favorite food. :P

K-I-S-S-I-N-G

My second day back to school...

Student #1: Mrs. Woo, did you and Mr. Woo kiss in front of everyone?
Mrs. Woo: Yes...
Student #2: Are you and Mr. Woo going to kiss in front of us?
Mrs. Woo: Why are you guys in a crowd back there?
Student #1: We're talking about you and Mr. Woo kissing!
Mrs. Woo: Go back to your seats. -_-

HONEYMOON ♡ Day 5

Mazatlan for Salsa & Salsa!

First, we learned to make various salsas (and margaritas... at 9am...).
Here we are with our chef hats that fit our girly heads but were a bit snug for the guys. The guy on the left is Rodney. He and his wife were newlyweds too! They became the faces that we kept running into on the ship and at the ports. sang John Mayer songs at Princess Pop Idol while I sang Heart's "Alone" (for old times sake).

They had all the ingredients for each dish we'd be making laid out in clear bowls at each seat (one per pair) and walked us through each step. Then we ate them with taquitos and chips and topped it off with coconut ice cream that was served at the end. Knowing us Woo's and food, you can be safe to say that it was probably our favorite excursion.Following the I'm-going-to-now-add-"chef"-to-my-resume time, the workers cleared the tables from the area and created the "dance floor" where we learned to salsa dance! Ole! Of course being the one with more rhythm (so I'd like to think), I had trouble letting Mr. Woo do the leading. I hope this will not be a determinant for our future...

Speaking of whom, today is Mr. Woo's birthday! Princess changed our "Just Married" balloons to "Happy Birthday," which was kind of them. Then, they took it to another level and gave us a voucher to present to the waiter for when we dine. To celebrate, we went to the specialty restaurant Sabatini. We had heard that dining here takes roughly 2 hours because of the 30 different items that are served.
Personally, it didn't live up to be what the hear-say was. I found quite a few things that I didn't recognize to end up on my plate. The desserts, however, were wonderful!

Why I like the picture above:
#1 - We're honeymooning and celebrating hubby's bday. Talk about killing two birds with one stone.
#2 - The people on either side of our table found us very intriguing.
#3 - The waiter taking the picture found them watching us to be interesting enough to include them in our picture that we will look at for years to come with fond memories.

Happy birthday, Mr. Woo!
From your wifey (and the two waiters behind you).
